Our Amazing Family Adventure Day is back on Sunday 10th September 2023!
Teas, coffees and cakes will, of course, be on sale in our cafe area.
A full list of activities can be found below.
Please read the following important information to ensure that you order the correct tickets.
THE EVENT IS TICKET ONLY
Tickets will be valid for the whole event day: 10:30 am - 5:00 pm.
All persons attending will require a valid ticket. Your purchase confirmation email will form your ticket, however we will have lists at the entry point - you will not need to print your ticket. Emails will be sent out up to a 2 days before the event. Please don't contact us about your ticket until after this time.
There are two types of ticket:
- 'All-in' (All Activity) - £24.00 each
Includes unlimited turns on all activities, suitable for those age 5 and above (a couple of age/size exceptions - see below), for the whole day!
- 'Basic' (Entry & Smaller Activities) - £4.50 each
.
‘Basic’ wristband holders will be allowed to accompany ‘All-in’ wristband holders in their group onto the canoes – this includes adults and younger children, providing thy can fit into the buoyancy aids provided. Please note, adults who would like to canoe without a child must have an ‘All-in’ wristband or an individual activity ticket (see below).All-in ticket holders will need to re-join the end of the queue to take further turns on any activity. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to have multiple turns on all activities, however if you arrive with plenty of time you should get at least one turn on every activity and more than one turn on your favourites. It is your responsibility to manage the your time on the day to ensure that you get the most out of your ticket - some activities may have periods where there are longer queues - it may be advisable to return later in this case.
Some activities may close for short periods of time throughout the day to allow staff to take rest breaks. These will be coordinated to minimise the number closed at any time.
ACTIVITIES
The activities planned for this years event are as follows:
Main activities (All-in wristband required):
Air RiflesArchery
Canoeing
Caving Bus
Climbing
Inflatables – (Bungee Run, Gladiator Duel, Hungry Hippos, Penalty Shoot Out) Tomahawk Throwing
Additional Activities (both wristbands):
Bouncy Castle
AGE / SIZE RESTRICTIONS
As with every year, there are some minimum age/height/size restrictions which apply to activities, for safety reasons.
As such, Eaton Vale have advised that all of the main 'All-in' activities are suitable only for ages 5 and up. Children who are small for their age may not be big enough for some activities - this will always be the decision of the instructor in charge of an activity.
Two activities have higher age limits. They are:
Trapeze (High Ropes) = Age 7
Air Rifles = Age 10
Children under the age of 5 are very welcome to join us with a 'Basic' ticket and will be able to take part in any of the additional activities available on the day that are deemed suitable for younger children.
CANOEING:
Family Canoeing is very popular and has limited capacity
At peak times we may operate a 'return later' policy, to minimise the wait to get onto the water. In this case you will be given a time to return to the activity later on. This will be at our discretion and may mean that you can only canoe once.
All children under 13 MUST be accompanied by an adult (either in the canoe or at the waters edge). The accompanying adult DOES NOT require an 'All-in' wristband if they accompany the child in the canoe, however any adult who would like to canoe without a child must have an 'All-in' wristband.
FOOD & DRINK
We will have tea, coffee & soft drinks on sale in our cafe area, along with a lovely selection of cakes and bakes.
This year we will also have a small area for street food vendors who will be selling their own goods - this years vendors are:
Elsie's PizzaDOGS
Please note that Eaton Vale is a dog free site - no dogs are allowed.
PARKING & DISABLED ACCESS
Please park only in the designated car park on site - this is included in the price of your ticket - or even better, arrive on foot, by bike or by public transport.
Disabled parking is available and the main buildings of the site are accessible, however please note that most of the activities are located in areas that are hilly with trees and soft ground.
